April is Financial Literacy Month and a number of events have been planned for the public to expose them to the wealth of information available. Events will be posted on this page, so be sure to stop by frequently to take advantage of prizes, workshops, and material that will be offered throughout the month.
- If you're at the Edmond Public Library during April, look for the Financial Literacy displays featuring books on financial health and well-being. Learn how to become financially wise by knowing your options. Books were reviewed and selected by me and include works by various authors focused on different age groups.
- April 19 - 25 - JumpStart Your Money week is a state-wide event encouraging those within the financial literacy community to help expose the public to sound money management.
- The Oklahoma JumpStart Coalition will be holding a video contest throughout April. Videos can be submitted through the early part of the month and voting will take place during April 19th - 25th. Followers will choose the winning video.
- Saturday, April 23rd, the coalition will be holding the OKC Dollar Dash, which includes a scavenger hunt for $500 in downtown OKC.
